Service Description

DeckdOut is an AI-powered Chrome extension and web service that analyses your resume against job descriptions. Our tools include match scoring, missing keyword detection, cover letter generation, ATS resume optimisation, interview preparation, skill recommendations, fit quizzes, company research, and more.

By using DeckdOut, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Accounts

To access DeckdOut features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account details up to date.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools or scripts to bulk-scrape, spam, or abuse the service
• Circumvent free-tier usage limits through multiple accounts or other means
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our backend or AI prompts
• Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Upload malicious content, malware, or attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Pro Subscriptions

DeckdOut offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription.

• Pro Monthly — AU$9.99 per month, billed monthly
• Cancellation — You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — No refunds are provided for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain Pro access until the period ends.
• Price changes — We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any change takes effect.

All payments are processed by Stripe. DeckdOut does not store your payment card details.

AI Output Disclaimer

DeckdOut's AI-generated outputs — including match scores, keyword suggestions, cover letters, interview questions, and skill recommendations — are provided for informational purposes only.

AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. They should not be relied upon as professional career advice, legal advice, or a substitute for human judgement.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it in job applications or other professional contexts.

Intellectual Property

The DeckdOut name, logo, website, extension code, and AI prompt designs are the intellectual property of DeckdOut. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our service without written permission.

You retain full ownership of any content you submit (resumes, personal information). AI-generated outputs (cover letters, recommendations) are provided to you for your personal and professional use.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

• DeckdOut is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to DeckdOut in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for job application outcomes, hiring decisions, or any consequences of using AI-generated content.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

Upon termination, your stored data (profile, usage history, saved analyses) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the use of DeckdOut shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
